Mind Sports Olympiad, Prague, Post #4
Special Reports Francis_K_Lalumiere Reports: Francis here, with one last update from Prague.

Sunday was the last day of the MSO, featuring several tournaments (including the scary-looking Czech Scrabble…) and still a lot of “free play” in the main room, where players can simply snag a game from the shelves and have at it.

Mind Sports Olympiad, Prague, Post #3
Special Reports Francis_K_Lalumiere Reports: Still in Prague! The weather looks like it'll finally clear up. We've had nothing but clouds and rain (albeit just a bit of it) for the last three days.

Here's a better look at (parf of) the immense building where the MSO is taking place, right smack in the middle of Prague. Beautiful place -- and huge!

Mind Sports Olympiad, Prague, Post #2
Special Reports Francis_K_Lalumiere Reports: Friday turned out to be busier than Thursday, especially in the evening, and for obvious reasons.
Work and school are over, and the locals are now free to join in on the fun!

So more players played more games everwhere in the municipal building that's home to the Prague sports department. And it's huge, with a metric ton of vast rooms all around its innards.

Mind Sports Olympiads begins in Prague
Special Reports Francis_K_Lalumiere Reports: Francis K. Lalumiere here, reporting live from Prague!
I'm attending the Mind Sports Olympiads, a yearly week-long event of abstract gaming tournaments. Chess, Go, and so on... Other games find a spot here (there's an Agricola tournament, for instance), but it's mostly abstract games.

This year, the MSO is making a big splash with the 10th anniversary of the GIPF Project, a series of six abstract games that have garnered a heap of awards.
